Summer has gone, and that ghoulishly frightful time of year will soon be upon us. What better way to get in the spirit than with the Mail Tribune/Daily Tidings Spook-tacular video contest?
Using your video skills and creativity, shoot and edit your own short Halloween flick that's no more than three minutes. It can be funny, scary, suspenseful, whatever! Use good judgment on what's appropriate. Any submissions with excessive violence, language or adult content will not be accepted. This is a family website.
Mail Tribune Two-Minute Movie Festival winner Alex Williams, "Evil Dead" actor Bruce Campbell and the Mail Tribune/Daily Tidings videographers Mandy Valencia and Ryan Pfeil will serve as judges.
Submissions will be accepted from Sept. 19 until 5 p.m. Oct. 24 and NOT ONE MINUTE LATER.
Voting will be open to users from Oct. 24 until 5 p.m. Oct. 30. We will announce the winners online Halloween day and in the Mail Tribune Nov. 1. Prizes are as follows:
1st: "The Evil Dead" special edition DVD signed by star Bruce Campbell
2nd: Signed copy of "If Chins Could Kill" by Bruce Campbell
3rd: $20 gift card to Cinemark
People's Choice: $15 gift card to Mellelo Coffee
