This time of year, friends and family gather together to carry forward the traditions of the past. Whether its decorating cookies together, giving gifts, or working on costumes for pageants, the Mail Tribune and Caminos want to know what your family tradition is during this season of holidays.

In this collaborative photo contest, Mail Tribune and Caminos ask readers to submit a photo of a family tradition. Photos can be of current or past festivities. They will be judged on the quality of the picture, and the story behind it. Please add any details or explanation in the description field.

Caminos photographer Ezra Marcos, Mail Tribune photographer Julia Moore and Southern Oregon University professor Robert Arellano will serve as judges.

The contest begins Nov. 21, 2011. Entries must be received by 5 p.m. Dec. 19, 2011. People can vote for their favorites throughout this period and the entry with the most votes will win the People's Choice award. All winners will be announced in both publications.
